People should buy your soap because you have made a unique and different bar from the others. If you truly believe this and believe in yourself and product, then go for it. You can sell your soap for $3.50 - $5.00 per 4oz bar. Be creative with your fragrances and most definetly, put lots of thought into your packaging this alone if done in a niche way will attract customers. To moms daughter....when someone is on a positive mission do not undermine them with negativity. Support, support, support...do you think that body works became successful without support?

I make soap and would like to sell my soaps at craft fairs and flea markets. i see that many soapmakers on the web are selling their soaps for $4 to $6. My daughter tells me why should anyone buy my soap they never heard of for that price when body works and other soap companies that sell natural soap sell their bars for $1.50? How can I compete with that?

Hello and happy holidays. Hope they were wonderful. I'm enjoying your soaps here and the really nice photos. Anyway, when you get a chance, come visit this cool site I found called the Open soapmaking wiki. You can add stuff to it!
