My sister in Law Mary James turned me onto you guys and I was hoping someone could help me.I am wanting to make or purchase a soap that smells just of roses.Nothing added to it. Alot of soap works are doing it now. Mix half and half and it turns out great. we love them.. save scraps of your store bought soaps add some glycerin to it and make hippy soaps...It also gives a pearl effect.. One or the other. When you are making veg. based herbal soap it is the chemical reaction called saponification that makes the soap and by adding glycerin it will ruin your batch. Lavender and Rose would turn out nice just be careful because you are mixing a synthetic oil with an essential oil. Rosemary Vanilla is interesting..... Maybe worth a try. I think a Vanill and Clove would be better. Both are strong fragrances. Green Tea is something we had looked into but haven't made... Very popular right now. Whatever you decide to do let us know.
